Ever have a day when you know you just need to listen..
you feel quiet
I wish it werent so hard when the phones are ringing
and the emails' blinking
and every electronic noise in the whole world screams for attention like some monstrous toddler...
I think we would hear the important things God is trying to tell us through others if we listened...
with our hearts and our ears... with quietness of the soul
I think we'd learn a lot
many things we've buried for so long
or trundled away somewhere deep inside ourselves...
hurts we forgot, but still ache...
and through listening, perhaps we'll be made anew-
and remember a music we used to dance to
a tune which swept us away...
