Feeling Defeated.

Feeling Defeated.

I have been so downtrodden the past two days.  I feel like I am bieng so tested.  So worn out, worn so thin.  It's ironic that satan always attacks us when we are in the midst of the hardest times, in the weakest parts of our character.  I am not a patient person.  What little patience I do have is being stretched to the limit at work....and at church.  I always forget that at church we are still around people.  And people are still flawed.  Some people make me so angry, I get so worked up.  I find myself thinking the most hateful and unloving things about them.  This is where praying actually helps me.  I have to pray my way through situations like these.  Otherwise, I'd go insane. I want to stoop to people's levels that are less than respectful, almost inhuman in their anger, and yet, I feel a sense of hope, maybe a glimmer of notice that says: "I am here, I haven't left you".  I have had a day today where I wanted to crumple to the ground and cry because sometimes I feel like i'm not doing anything to impact anyone.  I feel like satan really is prowling around me like a lon trying to discourage and taunt me.  But you can be sure of one thing:  If satan is there, God is there too.  My husband sent me this yesterday and it's so odd how it applies to exactly what is going on right now.  Take it to heart and to mind today:

2 Corinthians 4:8-15 (New Living Translation)

8 We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. 9 We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. 10 Through suffering, our bodies continue to share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies.
11 Yes, we live under constant danger of death because we serve Jesus, so that the life of Jesus will be evident in our dying bodies. 12 So we live in the face of death, but this has resulted in eternal life for you.
13 But we continue to preach because we have the same kind of faith the psalmist had when he said, “I believed in God, so I spoke.”[a] 14 We know that God, who raised the Lord Jesus,[b] will also raise us with Jesus and present us to himself together with you. 15 All of this is for your benefit. And as God’s grace reaches more and more people, there will be great thanksgiving, and God will receive more and more glory.

  2. Nobody likes being pressed, especially when people or the situations and circumstances are telling you, 'This is for your own Good,' but that's The Way it is for ALL Believers, at one time or another and most times, more than we want it to be, but we are ALL Being Made Into The Image Of Christ and that's quite a reflection to Live UP TO! God disciplines those He LOVES + most have experienced 'natural' and Spiritual growing pains, so keep on PRESSING ON and let Deep Call To Deep, cause Jesus Is Coming SOON!
