God and the Hip Hop Movement.

Let's switch gears for a minute.  I have been on the lookout for God's movement lately.  You know where I have seen it the most?  In the Ghetto.  In the streets.  Even hip hop music.  GASP!  In case you haven't heard, the Christian hip hop movement is alive, and kicking.  It has emerged as one of the best tools today, in reaching people.  I work with kids that know all about the gangster lifestyle.  They watch it, eat, breathe and sleep in it, and the music they put into their ears talks about it,.  I think that why artists like Lecrae, Tedashii, Swoope, ect. are not just making music, but they are putting God's message into a language that people in this lifestyle can understand. Make no mistake, God is in the ghetto.  God walks and moves in the darkest corners of the inner city.  God speaks to people on their knees, the alcoholics, the prostitutes, the fatherless children in the hood. I see God moving in a big way.  I think it is an underground movement of inspired and reformed gangbangers, hood rats and ex cons.  I see God overcoming the darkness and dead ends in the ghetto gang lifestyles.  Do not be mistaken.  Do not assume God isn't in the Ghetto.  I think there is an upcoming movement that will redeem these people.  In the meantime, check out the music that is going to inspire change in the hood:
