Hospitals and Trees

I think we're coming into a new season of life right now...

I really find myself yearning for the next cycle of life just as im entering a new one...
and now is the time of the year when I start feeling Fall in my veins.
I think that sometimes it's as if we're all in bed at a hospital
- stuck with what we have-
next to another person in a similar bind.
All we have is each other,
and God- the proverbial higher power,
guiding us along.
I look outside and yearn for the trees, summer-green now, to change into autumnal splendor.
I yearn, like the trees, to change into my own autumnal splendor.
The long, hard, cold winter turned out to be just what I needed now-
even if I didnt know it then.
Even if they move me,
I think I must've planted some seeds.
Because something's growing-
blown along by the wind-
carted along by the nurses.
In my heart, I think,
I yearn to be free.

  1. What an awesome thought! Trust totally in the Lord and lean not in your own understanding... Make sure because God does not change His mind.

  2. he's rather good at what he does- “God makes everything come out right; he puts victims back on their feet. He showed Moses how he went about his work, opened up his plans to all Israel. God is sheer mercy and grace; not easily angered, he's rich in love. He doesn't endlessly nag and scold, nor hold grudges forever. He doesn't treat us as our sins deserve, nor pay us back in full for our wrongs.” Psalm 103:13ab MSG
